Reflections

by Marica Tacconi

"Reflections" brings together a series of abstract paintings that explore reflection as both image and state of mind. While suggestions of mirrored surfaces, shifting light, and fragmented forms appear throughout the works, the exhibition is less focused on representation than on moments of contemplation and pause.

Through layers of color, gesture, and texture, the paintings evoke emotional landscapes rather than fixed narratives. The works move between movement and stillness, clarity and ambiguity, inviting viewers to slow down and engage with the atmosphere of each piece. Reflection becomes both visual and personal: a consideration of memory, time, emotion, and perception.

The exhibition also features a soundscape—a personally curated playlist of music designed to complement and deepen the viewing experience, creating an immersive environment in which sound and image resonate together.

In an age defined by speed and distraction, "Reflections" offers space for attention and introspection. The exhibition invites viewers to experience abstraction not as something to decode, but as an opportunity to observe, feel, and reflect.
