Junk Journaling Workshop

Limited Seating - 10 Participants ONLY
Art you can carry with you.
A junk Journal is a journal created and curated from recycled, repurposed and reused or up cycled papers. Those could include packing paper, art papers, and whatever else we can find. Each journal is creatively decorated, and has plenty of space for writing, drawing, or painting. You can add pockets, tucks, little cards, and quotes. These journals can be hand sewn together, or tied with a ribbon or yarn. Each is a labor of love, of art, the creative spirit, and journaling.
Please feel free to absolutely bring whatever you want to the workshop. Of course you may bring an existing journal to add to.
Junk journaling, for me, is a nexus, a venn diagram, and a crossroads of Creativity, Introspection, And recycling, repurposing, and rescue.
That sweet spot of seeing a piece of paper, a picture from a magazine, or packaging that looks so colorful or captivating, and saying to myself, of course, "I could use that. Don't throw that out."
Being willing to make space for recycled elements, letting the creative energy flow, finding a place and a use for items that were destined for the trash and the landfill.
The way of journaling by hand serves as a way of slowing down my thoughts. Whether writing, drawing or painting, I become more observant, introspective, silent and creative.
I like that for myself.
