Born a buckeye,

But now a lion,

My poems fall up

And down.

The broken glass

And

Razor’s edge

Of my days as

A dispatcher,

A sailor,

A soldier,

A teacher,

A father,

A son,

And a craftsman.

From coast to coast,

Up and down,

Most of all –

All around

Now,

Here.
