I was born and raised in the suburbs of Pittsburgh.  After high school, I headed to State College to begin my college education at Penn State.  I was lucky enough to stay for 7 years, where I received a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, followed by an MBA.  During that time, I had the good fortune to meet my future wife, and married her before finishing my MBA.

After graduating, we moved to Pittsburgh for a few years for my first real job.  But after 3 years, we decided to relocate to South Jersey to be closer to my wife’s family. After working there as a tax accountant for 8 years, we relocated again to our dream location, Happy Valley.  I worked here for 20 years in tax and finance. I followed that with 10 enjoyable years as the owner of a Rita’s Italian Water Ice store. 

Then, 9 years ago, I retired and took up the hobbies of curling, photography and travel. I have had the opportunity to visit 6 different continents where I have photographed a variety of the world’s animals. I also now have more quality time to spend with my 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
