Central Pennsylvania native, Kristin Ziegler, has developed her skills as an interdisciplinary artist over the past two decades, and continues to examine the nuances between craft and fine art. In recent years she's been looking critically at the components that make up her work and making a shift towards material reuse, thrift, and adopting practices that are accessible to those who may want to make art, but have always been daunted by it. She has a studio arts degree from Indiana University, with a focus on textiles and book arts.
Kristin lives in the woods and is consistently awed at the bizarre beauty and horror of nature's gifts. One of which is a stray ginger cat that recently haunted her door; she's reached Crazy Cat Lady status. All five cats are sharp critics, and nothing leaves the studio without their approval.
