Art Heim & Brenda Horner in the Print Gallery

ART HEIM: A passion for the outdoors, coupled with a limitless curiosity for knowing what's around the next bend have led Art Heim to a life of exploring the natural and human wonders of our world. Art's travels have included much of North America, Asia, Southern Africa, Europe, and Central America. A highlight of this experience has been trekking the high Himalaya of Nepal, hiking the ancient trade route between Tibet and India at the foot of Mount Everest.

After retiring from Penn State University, Art served in the US Peace Corps for two years, working in Botswana. Since returning from Africa, Art continues to pursue his passion for photography and travel in the US and around the world.

Art has recently returned from his latest photo expedition to Africa with a fresh array of images from the Okavongo Delta, and the Serengeti Plains. The experiences there, with our guides -- Andrew, in Tanzania, and Lucky, in Botswana -- were some of the most amazing safari adventures ever.
We hope to see you at one of the many shows we'll be participating in this summer.

BRENDA HORNER: A native of rural Centre County, Pennsylvania, Brenda believes it is here, nestled in the rolling hills and valleys of central PA that we are privilaged to witness some of nature’s most beautiful seasonal changes. She feels blessed to have been taught to enjoy and value the treasures found in nature with each passing season.

Early in life, she discovered a love of drawing and creative expression. A self-taught watercolor artist and calligrapher, her passion is to realistically depict her subject matter, which is most often one with feathers. She hopes her work moves you to a quiet, reflective place where you linger a while to enjoy humble pleasures so often overlooked. Frequently combining watercolor with expressive quotations or meaningful messages in hand-lettered calligraphy, she strives to convey a special insight, mood or emotion. She feels her God- given ability is unique and intuitive- a gift for capturing nature’s fleeting moments in our busy world and she enjoys sharing her gift and talent with you the viewer.

All of her artwork is original and has been featured in numerous local juried shows and exhibits.
The prints in this exhibit are all giclee prints in limited editions. Commission artworks are encouraged and gladly accepted.
